Project Description

After obtaining a BSc Medical Honors in Dietetics from Natal and Cape Town Universities in 1994, Janet Homan embarked on a career path that has spanned government hospitals and private practice for over 16 years. Her extensive experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals and their traumas, instilling in her a deep understanding of the multifaceted nature of human suffering.

Throughout her tenure in the field, Janet Homan came to the realization that conventional approaches such as diet prescriptions and talk therapy often fell short of addressing the underlying issues at play. This realization prompted her to delve deeper into alternative avenues, particularly focusing on the energy of the body.

Janet Homan’s journey led her to pursue further studies in Metaphysical Science in South Africa, followed by a two-year internationally accredited energy healing course through the School of Intuition and Healing in London. Subsequently, she completed an additional two years of training with the U.K. Past Life Regression Academy, qualifying as a Regression Hypnotherapy & Trauma Practitioner.

Over the years, Janet Homan observed a concerning rise in the incidence of trauma cases, spanning individuals of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Moved by the overwhelming need for support, she established pro bono initiatives to provide assistance to those in vulnerable areas. However, recognizing the limitations of her individual efforts, Janet Homan founded the School of Regression Therapy to train therapists and address the overflow of trauma victims seeking help.

Despite these efforts, Janet Homan remained deeply affected by the ongoing plight of trauma victims in vulnerable communities, particularly those lacking access to therapy due to financial constraints. This concern inspired her to launch #fundapractitioner, an initiative aimed at funding and training community practitioners in vulnerable areas.

For those interested in contributing to the cause and supporting trauma victims on their journey to recovery, Janet Homan encourages individuals to visit the donation page for more information on how they can make a difference.
